Frequently Asked Questions

Hopefully we can answer any questions you have!

  1. What does your name mean?
"Source code" is simply a group of statements meant to perform certain tasks, which are written in any given programming language. To define with less techno babble, it’s the directions written by people for the computer, web browser, etc. to follow.
"Six" is the number of services we currently specialize in offering our clients; consultation, prototyping, design, development, maintenance and hosting. It’s also the number of sides on our cubed logo.

So there you have it! Source Code Six.
  2. How much do you charge for your services?
Pricing varies depending on the project. If you’re interested, we’d be happy to consult with you concerning your needs, and to find a solution that fits your budget!
Just fill out the contact form, or send us an e-mail.
  3. How can just two people get me what I need?
The fact that we’re not a big corporation with huge accounts, or a bunch of employees to manage, means we have more time to devote to YOU! We love what we do, and we’re good at it, so we don’t mind spending the extra time on it.
  4. What is SEO?
SEO stands for search engine optimization. SEO basically makes it easier for people to find your site when they search for it, or for things related to it. SEO is an efficient way to increase site traffic, getting people to easily visit, stay at, and return to your site.
  5. What is a domain name?
When we say "domain name", we’re just referring to a website’s address.
So, Source Code Six’s domain name is sourcecodesix.com, but we’ve also registered sourcecode6.com and src6.com since they are similar variations.
  6. What do you mean by hosting?
Registering a domain only grants you the rights to use that domain name, it doesn’t make a site exist for access. To create a website, the domain must first be hosted on a server so that the site has somewhere to be displayed from.
  7. These answers are great and all, but I still don’t know what I want!
    Nothing wrong with that!
If you need some help or just want to say hello, drop us a line via the contact form, or send us an e-mail.
